Pulse Explorer

The Pulse Explorer is a new visualization tool introduced with Pulse v6. Starting with v6, Pulse is storing everything that is happening across all servers and IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) instances in an embedded Pulse Elasticsearch cluster. Pulse is storing a lot more data which is a good thing as you have more data to understand what happened in your environment:

  • Who was logged in to the application 2 days ago between 1 and 3 pm?
  • What was slowing down the application 3 hours ago?

The more data you have, the better so you should set the value of the MaximumPulseDiskSpaceGB accordingly to the available disk space on your server:
