Connecting Pulse to a PA SaaS instance with the non-interactive account

When Pulse is connected to a PA SaaS environment as the one below, you have to click the Login button and enter an IBM ID who has Admin access to PAW and to the TM1 instances:

Pulse will use this IBM ID to connect to all TM1 instances. By default Pulse will connect to all TM1 instances in this PA SaaS environment with the same IBM ID.

Starting with Pulse v6.1.1, instead of using this IBM ID, Pulse can connect with a non-interactive account. This brings two main benefits:

  1. The requests from Pulse are slightly faster than using IBM ID
  2. The user running the Pulse threads will be a technical user and not an existing IBM ID

To use the non-interactive account, go to Administration > instance settings then tick the option Use CAM and enter the following information:

The non-interactive account detail can be found in the IBM Welcome Kit that you can found in PA Workspace administration.
