Using Excel Ranges within TM1 functions
Slice allows TM1 Elements to be aggregated by referencing Excel Ranges in a formula.
In order to achieve this, create a named range, which contains element IDs or element aliases.

Once the named range is in place, it can now be used in DB functions, such as DBRW. The resulting numbers in this example are a sum of the VIC, QLD and Tasmania territories.
The reference inside the DBRW formula to the original SUBNM formula, which represents the Regions dimension gets replaced with a reference to the myRegions named range.
