Pulse v6.4 is now available

Pulse v6.4 includes many new features such as a support for TM1 v12, a new button to generate alerts, being able to export the flow diagram and many more fixes…

Support for TM1 v12 on AWS and MCSP

It is now possible to monitor and manage TM1 instances running on IBM Cloud AWS and MCSP (TM1 v12).

Currently there are some limitations when using Pulse with TM1 instances running on AWS or MCSP (TM1 v12). Pulse does not have access to the TM1 server logs, so some features like the Process History, Change Tracking and the Process Log will not work. We are working closely with IBM to improve the integration with TM1 instances running on AWS and MCSP. As soon as the API will be available, we will update Pulse to support these features.

Monitoring of a TM1 v12 instances running on AWS or MCSP is the same as monitoring a regular TM1 instance. The only difference is that you need to use an API key to connect to the TM1 instance as below:

  • Example of a URL to IBM Cloud hosted on MCSP: https://company.planninganalytics.saas.ibm.com
  • Example of a URL to IBM Cloud hosted on AWS: https://company.aws.planninganalytics.ibm.com

Export the flow diagram into a CSV

It is now possible to export the full list of relationships between one TM1 object and others TM1 Objects in a CSV format. To do that you need to select the CSV option in the Flow Diagram and then click the generate button.

New button to generate alerts from templates

It is now easier to generate alerts. A new button has been added to create alerts from templates. This feature is useful when you want to create alerts for a new environment, instead of creating alerts one by one, you can now generate all recommended alerts with one click.

Executing offline packages from the Pulse Web Client

Executing offline packages from the Pulse Web Client. It is now possible to execute offline packages from the Pulse Web Client. This feature is useful when you need to execute a migration package in a different environment or when you are not able to access the TM1 servers. Pulse will copy the TM1 objects into the target TM1 data folder even if it is on a different server. Then you just need to stop and start the TM1 instances to see your objects in the target environment.

and much more…

A complete list of all enhancements and fixes can be found in the Pulse v6.3 Release Notes (v6.4.0.md).
