Pulse Performance Server Report
Over the years, TM1 application grows, as TM1 application is growing, the memory used by your TM1 server will grow as well.
Pulse keeps lots of statistics about your TM1 application, depending on what you want to look at there are different reports focus on the server, TM1 instances or the users.
To analyze your memory growth, the first step is to check the performance of the TM1 server.
You can go to Reports > Performance>Server
And it will open the server Summary report:
Memory Analysis
To analyse deeper, the memory analysis and understand the maximum memory pick, you can go to the Memory Analysis tab:
On the left, you’ll see the 20 biggest memory events during the time frame selected. If you click on the right arrow, you’ll see the details about these picks, in the example above the peak is created because of CXMD instance.
In the memory by instance, click on the arrow to get a view of what is happening in CXDM and tick the Active box to see only the active threads:
CPU Analysis
You’ll have a similar view from the CPU Analysis tab:
Once you have found which instance is creating the pick of memory or CPU, you can go to the performance report by instances.
