Arc is a single executable which has everything included, there is no installation required, as you can see in this getting-started video you can start using Arc in less than a minute!

To start using Arc, after running the arc.exe file, you will then have to click the Start Trial button or the Buy Now button. To either try Arc or Buy it, Arc will have to connect to the licensing server (bo.cubewise.com). All steps to trial or buy Arc are detailed here:

• Trialling and Buying Arc

Arc uses the TM1 REST API to connect to the TM1 instances, therefore as long as the REST API is enabled, Arc can connect any TM1 instances.

If Arc sits on a server with internet connection, you can start using Arc either on the server using http://localhost:7070 or from outside the server using http://tm1server:7070

As we said earlier, to create the license, Arc requires the browser to have access to internet so if your server does not have internet connection, the only way to activate Arc, will be to use a browser which has internet connection and then connect to Arc using http://tm1server:7070.

Once the license has been generated, you will then being able to use Arc from the server using http://locahost:7070.
