Backing up Pulse

Pulse stores all of the information in requires within the folders in the install directory. To back up this information in case of hardware failure or other misadventure you should copy the following directories.

⚠️ Stop Pulse services before copying the folders.

Pulse v6.x folders to back up

  • <Pulse Install Directory>conf: Stores the configuration files.

  • <Pulse Install Directory>db: Stores the pulse databases.

  • <Pulse Install Directory>history: Stores the history of processes and chores in text files.

  • <Pulse Install Directory>packages: Stores the migration packages.

  • <Pulse Install Directory>vcs: Stores the git source control repositories that contains the history of changes to your TM1 models.

Pulse v5.x folders to back up

  • <Pulse Install Directory>conf: Stores the configuration files.

  • <Pulse Install Directory>db: Stores the pulse databases.

  • <Pulse Install Directory>dump: Stores the dump files that are generated when a TM1 instance is stopped.

  • <Pulse Install Directory>history: Stores the history of processes and chores in text files.

  • <Pulse Install Directory>packages: Stores the migration packages.

  • <Pulse Install Directory>vcs: Stores the git source control repositories that contains the history of changes to your TM1 models.
