Arc and Slice v4.5.2 is now available

With IBM announcing the sunsetting of Perspectives, Slice is getting some serious attention. And with that, we’re getting some great feedback from customers.

Now is a perfect time to suggest Slice to new & existing customers. Remember Slice’s mission statement is to correctly open all legacy Perspectives reports, so if you find an edge case with issues, we want to hear about it!

For more complete details on all the features and fixes for Arc & Slice v4.5.2, check out the release notes..

New Features in Slice:

As always, many optimizations have been made to Slice to improve performance and support more complex TM1 Excel reports built with Perspectives.

In addition, there are some handy new features to boot…

Hide particular column and row in the cube viewer

From a cube view, you can now hide particular columns and rows. This feature is great to focus on a particular part of the cube view. To hide a column or a row, right-click on the column or row header and select the hide option. To unhide a column or a row, click on the column or row header and select the unhide option.

New SSO auto-login function

A new function has been added to allow SSO auto-login in Slice. This new function is called SliceLogin. When a user will open a report including this function and click the refresh button, Slice will automatically log in the user into the TM1 instance.

New features in Arc+:

And let’s not forget Arc+. As we rapidly integrate the major Pulse functions into Arc, it just becomes more and more useful over time!

Display Pulse Chore / Process History in Arc Code Editors

In Arc, you can now see Pulse Chore and Process History data in the code editors. This feature is great to quickly see the history of a particular process or chore. With Arc, you can quickly see how much time a process or chore took to run, how many times it has been run and if there were any issues in past executions.

and much more…

A complete list of all enhancements and fixes can be found in the Arc & Slice v4.5.2 release notes: v4.5.2.md
